Q: What is laser cutting?
A: Laser cutting is a process that uses a high-powered laser to cut, engrave, or etch materials such as wood, acrylic, paper, and more.

Q: What materials can you laser cut?
A: We work with 3mm poplar plywood as our stock material but can also engrave and cut other hardwoods, softwoods and card upon request (subject to cost and availability). We can produce intricate designs with incredible detail and accuracy but can be limited by the material thickness if cutting is required.If you are unsure if your material can be laser cut, please contact us.

Q: What is the maximum size you can cut?
A: Our maximum cutting size is 500x300mm (19.6 x 11.2 inches) but for better results a small border is recommended.

Q: Can you laser cut metal?
A: No, we do not currently offer laser cutting for metal.

Q: How long does the laser cutting process take?
A: The cutting time depends on the complexity of the design and the material being used. Typically, cutting times range from a few minutes to several hours.

Q: What file types do you accept?
A: We accept .ai, .pdf, .eps, .dxf, and .svg files.

Q: Can you help with design work?
A: Yes, we offer design services for an additional fee. Please contact us for more information.

Q: How much does laser cutting cost?
A: The cost of laser cutting depends on the material being used, the complexity of the design, and the quantity being produced. Please contact us for a quote.

Q: What is your turnaround time?
A: Our standard turnaround time is 2-3 business days (Monday to Friday) for all stock items but for customised products this depends on a number of factors such as the size and complexity of the project. Rush orders may be available for an additional fee. Please contact us directly to confirm if you require something urgently.

Q: Can you ship my order?
A: Yes, we offer shipping to customers within the UK as well as internationally such as Europe, Canada and the United States. Shipping costs will be added to your order total.
